The V-Mod split-coil pickup takes vintage tone to the next level, adding a contemporary edge to even better cover any style of music – Rock, Blues, Funk, Punk, Motown, Jazz, Reggae etc…. it does it all. The ’63 P Bass® profile neck now sports smooth rolled fingerboard edges, a “Super-Natural” satin finish and a newly sculpted neck heel for a supremely comfortable feel and easy access to the upper register. The new V-Mod II Precision Bass V split-coil pickup is more articulate than ever while delivering the punch and growl the P Bass® is known for. The American Pro II Precision Bass V delivers instant familiarity and sonic versatility you’ll feel and hear right away, with broad ranging improvements that add up to nothing less than a new standard for professional instruments. V-MOD II PICKUP – V-Mod II Precision Bass pickups are modified versions of our classic vintage pickup designs. Packed with the fundamental Fender bass sound you know and love, these split-coil pickups deliver the vintage warmth, punch and clarity that made Fender a legend. NEW SCULPTED NECK HEEL – The rounded neck heel and beveled neck-plate improve access to the upper register and make leads easy and comfortable. HIMASS VINTAGE BRIDGE – This precision manufactured string-through or top load bridge adds sustain, resonance and improved attack thanks to a cold-rolled steel baseplate, high mass brass backstop, and chrome-plated brass saddles. ’63 P BASS® NECK PROFILE – Considered by many to be the gold standard of bass neck profiles, American Professional II Precision Bass guitars use the ‘63 P Bass® neck profile.
