We personally like it when we remove the big imperfections and leave the little ones for the character but add a layer of finish over them to freshen the whole piece up. If you like it that way too you’re good to go because that’s our normal process anyway. We can also strip sand and refinish the whole piece for a like-new from the store appearance.
