These portable VHF transceivers from NARCO are an ideal addition to your aviation communication tools. Designed for use with Avionics compatible VHF communications, these NARCO COM 120 TSO with Portable case TR1000A models can be powered with a 110v, 12v Car lighter plug or battery-powered (battery not included) option. These units were intended to be used as a Unicom Com radio for Ground to Air communications. It was used in ground to air communications during our field operations and retired when we ceased operations after 2017 and both units have been in storage ever since. We have turned both units on and they both receive and transmit with some distortion while indoors. They do work best outdoors however they should be looked at by an avionics shop and tuned up for optimal performance. The NARCO Com 120 TSO Transceiver feature ensures compliance with aviation regulations, while the no warranty aspect offers the buyer an opportunity to purchase at a discounted price. Made in the United States, this device is a reliable communication tool for pilots. The radios come with Telex microphones (used) and two additional NEW Telex Mics. Each unit has Provisions for an external antenna and come with a (half wave 47″) whip magnetic mount antenna. they also have a built in telescopic antenna. There are some additional extras various BNC connectors and an 12 female receptacle to alligator clips for external battery use. The TR1000A Portable case has the provisions to add an internal 12 volt battery inside the case. Recommend you purchase a TR1000A/B Narco Manual for full instructions. The cases show cosmetic scratches and markings on the cases as do the Transceivers themselves but no damage or dents on the cases. (see photos).
