eBay Antique A.K. France (A. Klingenberg & Dwenger) Fine Art Work 8.5″ Plate with Red Robin Here we can offer you a rare antique hand painted plate by A. Klingenberg, Limoges, France. The artisan painter A. Klingenberg opened his Porcelain factory in Limoges France in the 1880’s. Joined by Dwenger later, the company was active until they closed in 1910. A. Klingenberg is famous for his fine works of art. The plate here is delicately painted and porcelain artistry at its finest. The motif is a red robin in nature, sitting on a branch with leaves around him. The bird almost looks like a photography. The whole painting has a 3 dimensional look with depth. The basic color of the plate is off white and above the bird, on about half the plate, you find a raised gold decor in leader design with swirls close to the rim. Just beautiful! On the back the plate is marked in green with A.K. France, under glaze. This antique plate dates from the time the company was in business which was from 1880-1910. The plate is in excellent preowned condition. It does not look it was used as a dessert plate. Maybe displayed only. There are no chips, no crazing, no cracks, no scratches visible.
